What does this Iwafune Shrine course have???
It has a bit of everything.
🌠1. A nice canopy boardwalk
🌠2. Huge tunnel waterfall,
🌠3. Very high viewing platform with awesome views
🌠4. Of course, this increible cave with an amazing story!!
TO FEEL WHAT AN EVENT IS LIKE, LOOK AT THIS SHORT YOUTUBE VIDEO (NOTE:I couldnt film inside the cave cause they wouldnt let me):
"Iwafune Shrine worships Nigihayashi no Mikoto. Nigihayashi no Mikoto came to this place from the air by Ame no Iwafune. Then Ame no Iwafune became a huge rock 12m x 12m in dimension."
THE SHRINE HAS A ROCKY CAVE ABOUT 35~40 METRES IN LENGTH. ITS DARK AND YOU MUST HAVE SUITABLE SHOES (RUNNERS, WALKING SHOES...NO SANDALS OR HEELS).
WE WILLL ENTER THIS CAVE TOGETHER, ITS DARK, NARROW AND A BIT SLIPPERY BUT EVERYONE CAN DO IT!!
Since the medieval era, many practitioners of Shinto and Shugendo go in cave for training their bodies and cleansing there souls.
